Obituary of Bertha Mae Andis

Springville – Bertha Mae Andis, 95, of Springville, died at 7:30 pm on Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at St. Vincent Dunn Hospital.

Born July 19, 1922 in Monroe Co., she was the daughter of Harley and Mary Jane (Davis) Blake. She married Curtis Andis on January 11, 1941 and he preceded her in death in 1979. She was a homemaker and worked on their dairy farm.

Survivors include three daughters, Janet Morrow and Barbara Perry and husband, Bill all of Springville, Teresa Turner and husband, Rick, of Williams; three sons, James Andis and David Andis and wife, Susan, all of Springville, Mike Andis, of Mitchell; several grandchildren; several great grandchildren; several great great grandchildren;  a half-sister, Helen Southern, of Bloomington. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three daughters, Janice Carol Kern, Donna Meadows, and Linda Kay Andis (in infancy); three sisters, Norma Hacker, Geneva Andis and Ruth Anna Russell; three brothers, Lloyd, Hubert, and Kenneth Blake; a half-sister, Judy Nicols; a half-brother, Harley Eugene Blake; five grandchildren, Tonya Lee, Sonya Dee, Christopher Meadows, Paula Godsey, and Tony Kern; three sons-in-law, Herschel Kern, Jason Morrow, and Franklin Meadows.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Saturday, April 21st in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor Rick Turner officiating. Burial will follow in Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, April 20th and from 10:00 am until the hour of service on Saturday, April 21st at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
