Obituary of Thelma King
Bedford Thelma King, 79, of 164 Maple Leaf Road, Bedford, died at 11:57 am on Thursday, February 19, 2009 at the Dunn Memorial Hospital.
Born November 27, 1929 in Knott Co., KY, she was the daughter of Alton and Ida May (Ritchey) Young. She married William A. King on March 20, 1954 and he preceded her in death on September 19, 1983. She was employed at RCA as a production and clean up worker for thirty years.
Survivors include one daughter, Michelle Pemberton of Bedford; one son, Chris King and his wife, Susan of Fayetteville; nine grandchildren, Christopher, Kayla, Cameron and Kaleb King all of Fayetteville, Ryan and Brittni Pemberton, Billy and Erick King all of Bedford, Andrea King of Florida; one great granddaughter, Whitney King; three brothers, Harold, Elwood and O.J. Young all of Ohio; one sister, Orky White of Ohio; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two children, Kimberly King and William King, Jr.; one sister, Charity Bowling. Funeral Information
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, February 24th from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Jeff Hauersperger officiating. Burial will follow in Beech Grove Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Monday, February 23rd at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
