In 1975 my family came to the country after the Vietnam war, under the sponsorship of Mr. & Mrs. Stearns. I called them Daddy Ray and & Mom Alice. They opened their heart to receive us into their home. My parents did not speak a word of English. Amazingly, Mom Alice was able to communicate with my mother, with her kind gestures and big smiles. Mom Alice, you are the light of our life. We appreciated you and Daddy Ray and we miss you very much. Hope to reunite with you someday in Heaven. Please Rest In Peace!

My very dear friend, Alice M. Stearns, has gone home to her Heavenly Father, and she has also reunited with the love of her life, the one and same Raymond, whom God chose to be her life partner! What a rejoicing there is in Heaven!!
I first met Alice when when our family moved to Colorado Springs in the early 1970's. We became instant friends and stayed lifelong friends, even when didn't live close to one another. Alice and I both played alto horn in the Salvation Army Band in Colorado Springs underage leadership of Bandmaster Art Sparks. We had so much fun together at that church . Some might have even suggested that we might have dabbled in some mischief; but any mischief was only innocent kind.
My life has made better by Alice's friendship; and I will forever thank God for making sure that our paths crossed on this earth. Because of Alice my husband and kids along with me were able to enjoy fellowship with Alice, Raymond and their sweet daughters. Terri, Tammy and Traci, your sweet mother was one of a kind!! Be comforted by all that she meant to you.
