My deepest condolences to my Connaughton family. I loved your mama. Hell, I called her Mama Sioux, as did many. My family loved her. She always made my dad laugh, which was sometimes hard to do. She hugged my mom when he left and told her that she needed to stay strong although she just lost her soulmate and hugged her to give her strength. I'll never forget y'all's kindness and love shown when our dad died. We are all here for each and every one of you.
Goin' up to the spirit in the sky! That's where I'm gonna go when I die. When I die and they lay me to rest gonna go to the place that's the best!
Dance with my daddy Mama Sioux I love you my Connaughton family

Sioux, you were the best mom, and a fantastic role model and advocate for countless people. You would give a stranger a hand, a meal, or great advice.
You gave incredible hugs, cooked wonderful food, and made every guest feel like part of your family.
You raised 4 wonderful kids, and loved, praised, and supported them in everything they did. We never had a conversation that didn't include how they were doing, and how much you loved them and your grandchildren.
Love you so much, I hope you know that I'm holding your family in my heart.
My deepest sympathies and love to your family.

The first time I ever met Sioux she immediately became my surrogate mother. She was the kindest, loving, caring person I had ever met. She took my two sons and myself and treated us like family. She became my kids James and Kyles surrogate grandmother figure. Many nights and weekends my kids would spend their time with Sioux. Dawn, Jozie and Paul. She was the type of person who never turned a person in need down. Always there for us. If we needed a shoulder to cry on, or vent about a rough patch we were going through.
I have so many good memories with her. I have one in particular that stands out. We had all went to an Ozzy concert at Deer Creek with our girlfriends. When it was over they were all at the car waiting on Jennifer and I to get back. She had told the others they'll be back shortly. She told the that knowing Jennifer we probably ended up closer to the stage. When we got to the car Sioux looked at us and said "So how close did you two get to the stage"? We both laughed and said 3rd row. She looked at the rest of them and said "I told you so". She just knew how we were.
Sioux raised 4 fine children by herself. She kept me from getting myself in trouble, kept me safe. My life wouldn't have been the same without her. Sioux was one of a kind. When God made her he broke the mold. Momma Sioux you'll forever be in our hearts. We love you and thank you for so many wonderful memories. Until we meet again RIP my sweet angel.
Much love to Duane, Dawn, Jozie and Paul
Love you all Susan James and Kyle Horn H5AiD

Our thoughts and prayers are with you. It was an honor to know and love Sioux. She was a very special woman. She loved our family and she and all of you are in our Family. If you ever need anything just call. We are here for all of you. I hope she knew how much she was loved. She cared and loved Alice, Bailey and Garrett as her own and I loved her for that. I remember Dawn & Jozie running in & out of our home as much as Alice did hers. As a Mama it was such a gift to know she loved and cared for Bailey and Garrett. She was a great Lady and we will miss her. Again if any of you need us just call.
