Obituary of Mary Levena Ratkovich

Bedford – Mary Levena (Martindale) Ratkovich, 78, of Bedford, passed away on Thursday, January 4, 2018.

Born October 27, 1939, in Martin County, she was the daughter of Ezra and Mary Geneva (Wagner) Martindale. She married Daniel Ratkovich on July 30, 1955 and he survives. Mary had worked at M. Fine & Sons for six years, at RCA with B.E.W. Union for fourteen years, and then at General Motors with U.A.W. Local #440 for twenty-three years. She retired in 2002.

Survivors include her husband, Daniel, of Bedford; three children, Ricky Ratkovich and wife, Janice, of Mitchell, Michael Ratkovich and wife, Traci, Tina McPike and husband, Robert, all of Bedford; a sister, Janet Baker, of Springville; a sister-in-law, Velma Jean Martindale of Springville; five grandchildren; several great grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; several step-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, James Emery Martindale.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Monday, January 8^th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor Marty Speer officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Sunday, January 7^th and from 9:00 am until the hour of service on Monday, January 8^th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
