Obituary of Linda D. Brooking

Bedford – Linda Darlene (Baldwin) Brooking, 68, of Bedford, died on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 in Bloomington.

Born June 2, 1949, she was the daughter of Kenneth E. and Lovetta M. (Mikels) Baldwin. She married Ellis “Ed” Brooking on September 6, 1968 and he survives. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved studying history and genealogy.

Survivors include her husband, Ed, of Bedford; a son, Michael Brooking and wife, Christie, of Martinsville; a daughter, Lisa Parsley and husband, Jason, of Bedford; two grandchildren, Cole and Victoria Brooking, of Martinsville; two brothers, Dale Baldwin and wife, Sharon and Dennis Baldwin; a brother-in-law, Alton Qualkenbush and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Gary and Danny Baldwin, and a sister, Trena Qualkenbush.
