Beth, Paula, and family please except my sympathy for the loss of your mom. Effie was a sweet, kind, loving and funny lady. If you don't mind my saying, she was like a second mom to me. She fed me, listened to me, and put up with my teenaged schinanagins. I was always graciously welcomed in her home. She never fussed or complained, no matter how messy I left her kitchen after a bout of late-night cooking and snacking. I don't even know how many Big Chef sandwiches she bought me from the Burger Chef in Bedford. God rest your soul, Effie. You were a great mom and a wonderful woman.
