I have very fond memories Bake, as I knew him. He had such a way with us kids. He was quiet and gentle, just a good man. I wish I had something to add that others haven’t already said better, but I will always remember him and was very saddened to hear of his passing.

Chester was just one of those precious people whom you are glad God allowed you to meet in your earthly journey. He was always encouraging to me in my time at Leatherwood and his kind words were always appreciated. Condolences to Margaret and the rest of the family.

Family, We are celebrating, with you, the life of a wonderful man. I remember going to his farm on many occasions with my mom and dad. Bake and Margaret Ann were always so welcoming of our family. Dad loved spending time with him and his cousins. I'm sure my dad was one of the first to welcome Bake in Heaven! They are together now with a whole host of beautiful people that we honor and love. God's word says in Ecclesiastes 7:1, that the day of death is better than the day of birth! From this promise we can all celebrate Bake's homecoming! Love you all, Bill and Shannon Tompkins

Dear Marg & girls, Cathy, Mona, Louisa & Nellie.., so sorry to learn of Juniors passing. I am sorry I cannot come by but I am sick at this time.. I did so want to see you all. I still have great memories when Roy & Anna Mae, Robert & Emma, Martha & Herb (my mom & dad), and Marg & Junior all got together.. The late nite spur of the moment camp outs.. Sorry to hear about Chester's passing. I have great memories of family vacations and gatherings shared with the Bakers from my childhood. The trip to Yellowstone and the fishing trip to the cabin island in Canada will be with me forever. Sorry for your loss.
