Vicky S. Flinn

June 28, 1948 – October 20, 2017

Bedford – Vicky S. Flinn, 69, of Bedford, passed away Friday, October 20, 2017 at the IU Health Bloomington Hospital.

Born June 28, 1948 in Mitchell, she was the daughter of Wayne and Betty (Watterson) Roach.  She married Richard Flinn on March 14, 1970 and he survives.  Vicky was an administrative secretary at Indiana University.  She was a member of the Southland Church of Christ.

Survivors include her husband Richard of Bedford; sister, Janet Harkness of Bedford, brother, Scott Roach and wife Rosanna “Rosie” of Bedford, sister, Julie Peterson and husband Daryl of Iowa; and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Tracey Roach.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 am on Tuesday, October 24th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Bud Smith officiating.  Burial will follow in the Leatherwood Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 3:00 to 8:00 pm on Monday, October 23rd at the Day & Carter Mortuary.  The family requests that memorials may be made to the Lawrence County Cancer Patient Services.
