Obituary of Barbara J. Williams

~~Bedford – Barbara J. Williams, 90, of Bedford, died at her residence Saturday afternoon.
Born March 26, 1927, in Lawrence County, she was the daughter of Jack and Emma (Smith) Medlock. She married Kermit O. Williams on June 1, 1950, and he preceded her in death on June 10, 2013.  She was a member of Englewood Baptist Church, and Believer's Fellowship Church in Okeechobee, FL.  She was a devoted wife and mother. She enjoyed painting with her friends and watching I.U. Basketball. 
Survivors include a daughter, Linda A. Pierce and husband, Vic, of Springville, IN; a son, Stephen K. Williams DDS and wife, Michele, of Nashville, TN; eight grandchildren, Vicki Pierce (Mary Ellen), Jason Pierce (Felice), Erin Pierce Probus (Rob), Machelle Pool (Brett), Adam Cliver, Jade Scaglione (Fran), McKenna Ballard (Adam) and Renee Jalbert; 13 great-grandchildren; a brother, Dr. John Medlock and wife Vi; dear friend and caregiver, Pam Clark; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kermit, her parents, nine brothers and sisters: Hilbert Medlock, Chet Medlock, Ina Hollars, Gleeda Arthur, Lesta Medlock, Charles Medlock, Charlotte Amick, Bob Medlock, and Vannie King.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 am on Thursday, July 13th at the Englewood Baptist Church with Pastor David Ferry officiating. Burial will follow in Cresthaven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Wednesday, July 12th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
