There is so much I could say about Dr Girgis. I have worked with him for almost 32 years. He loved visiting us in the Lab, and we had many educational and intellectual discussions. He always went above and beyond for his patients. I always valued his opinion. He was funny too, like the time he passed out cookies while we and patients were in the basement for a tornado warning! He will be missed by myself and many more. Condolences to his family.

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of such a great Doctor, family man, and humanitarian. I met Dr. Gorges 40 years ago, when he diagnosed my diabetes. Only weighing 87 lbs at the time, he had a ver y hard time convincing me that my only option was shots. He kept coming I and out of the room, and I would cry and say I was afraid of shots. Finally, I decided I had tried his patience to the limit, so agreed to take shots. It took me a week to get brave enough to insert the needle in my skin. LOL.He had a very giving heart, and probably the best Internal Medicine Doctor we had all these years. He will be missed. R.I.P. Doctor Girgis, and continue healing all the people who have gone to Heaven before you. God Bless your family as they struggle to give you up.

Dr. Girgis was one of the first physicians @ BRMC that I worked with when I got out of nursing school. He was a very intelligent & caring individual. As a new nurse I soaked in everything I could learn from him. I still remember working in ICU & eating the delicious homemade baklava that his wife made. He was very proud of his wife and children and loved them very much. He also loved to tell stories about his life his experiences. He will be missed.
