Obituary of Richard W. McIlvaine

Bedford – Richard W. McIlvaine, 76, of Bedford, (Leesville Community) died at 4:45 pm on Thursday, June 15, 2017 at his residence.

Born November 29, 1940, he was the son of James and Adele (Mashlanka) McIlvaine. He married Lyla Ferguson on February 15, 1960. He was a carpenter for McIntyre Bros. Construction and member of Carpenters Local #1040. He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Indiana State Trappers Assoc. and National Trappers Assoc.

Survivors include his wife, Lyla, of Bedford; three children, Richard J. McIlvaine and wife, Angie, of Bedford, Stormy Li and husband, Lester, of Riverside, CA, Robert L. McIlvaine and wife, Cindy, of Indianapolis; seven grandchildren, Kelsey E. Smith, Karson Li, Rob McIntosh, Conner McIlvaine, Brianna McIlvaine, Amy Brazzell, and Tina Lee; two brothers, James McIlvaine and wife, Patricia, and Ralph McIlvaine all of New Jersey. He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson, Joe McIntosh.

A memorial mass will be conducted at 10:00 am on Wednesday, June 21st at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church with Father Rick Eldred officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, June 20th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
