Even now, 2 years later, it's just as hard as it was before. I don't talk about papaw a ton, but there isn't a day that I don't think about him. And, I know, 2 years later is a little late to be writing something on here, but I still feel terrible keeping so quiet about it. I didn't know him as good or as long as a lot of people, but he was still everything to me, and still is. This is going to be super long if I don't make myself stop, but I needed to say at least something. I love you, papaw. I miss you and love you more than anything.

Papaw: I wasn't there to get to say goodbye something i have to live with the rest of my life... You was the one person that never judged me our talks i will never ever forget i love you and no one will ever convince me that anyone will ever be a better man than you was and are i love you and miss you so so much i am so sorry i was not able to be there you held the family together you was the glue thats forsure... I cant rewind time oh if i could i would but that is not possible. Well paps i love you ol man and the family won't be the same. To my family forgiveness is key and everyone make mistakes i apologize for the person i use to be and that i wasn't there at this time... Life is a fragile thing and his life was lived amazingly as he was loved beyond words and loved just as much in return..... Rest in peace papaw love was taught through you!!!

I have many wonderful memories of Peepers. He was a dear friend of my dad's. And part of the Roger's Group family, as dad & I were also. Worked the coal mines, where he was always looking out for me as the office manager. He spoke often of his family. Got to know Joe at the coal mines also. Later years I was reacquainted through knowing Jody. Jody has always kept me posted how Peepers was doing, which I've been grateful. Was able to visit with him on one of his trips to the hospital. Peepers was one in a million! He will be greatly missed, but his legacy will live on in the life he shared. ❤
