Obituary of Miskel Ann Graves

Springville – Miskel “Mickey” Ann Graves, 87, of Henderson, KY, formerly of Springville died Monday, September 12, 2016 at Redbank’s Skilled Nursing in Henderson. Born November 17, 1928, in Lawrence Co., she was the daughter of Lorne and Hazel (Radcliff) Nelson. She graduated from Oolitic High School and was a member of the first Church of God in Mitchell. She had worked as a cook at Fayetteville School. She married James Dorsey Graves in 1947. Survivors include two daughters, Connie Lowry and husband, Ed, of Morganfield, KY and Beverly Harvey and husband, Alan, of Indianapolis; a son, Jim Graves and wife, Shawna, of Oolitic; seven grandchildren, Chad Lowry, Nikki Stilwell, Jason Pillow, Shelby and Cassidy Graves, Audrey Lagenour and Orion Allen; nine great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild and a sister, Judy Brazzel of Bedford. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a brother, Delorne Nelson. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 am on Thursday, September 15th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor Dwight Jackson officiating. Burial will follow in Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, September 14th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
