Obituary of Wilma A. McPike

Bedford – Wilma A. McPike, 86, of Bedford, died at 11:40 pm on Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at Westview Nursing and Rehab. in Bedford. Born December 30, 1929, in Bedford, she was the daughter of Elmer A. and Effie (Knuckles) McKinney. She first married George Lively, later she married Wayne Wessell and he preceded her in death. She then married Gerald McPike who also preceded her in death. She was a homemaker and member of the Englewood Baptist Church. Survivors include four children, Brenda J. (Lively) Shirley, of Bedford, Terri L. (Lively) Jones and husband, Mike, of Columbus, IN, Tony Wessell and wife, Christine, of Bedford, and Tammy Jo (Wessell) Smoot, of Bedford; seven grandchildren, David W. Luttrell, Sherry Underwood-Crane, Tonya Underwood-Cook, Trent M Fleener, Dustin Wayne Wessell, Mindy Wagner, and Daniel I. Todd; fourteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands and thirteen brothers & sisters. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm Friday, July 29th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Kenny Dalton and Cameron Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 11:00 am until the hour of service on Friday, July 29th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
