Obituary of James Robert Ray

Bedford – James Robert Ray, 59, of Bedford, died Thursday, June 30, 2016 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. Born December 31, 1956, he was the son of Robert H. and Virginia Lee (Cassidy) Ray. He had worked at Stone Belt. Survivors include a brother, Timothy H. Ray, of Williams; two sisters, Kelli M. Magers, of Mitchell and Barbara Bobbie Jo Pike, of Columbus; nieces, Ginny Sue Kelley, Abby Nicole Jamison, Melissa Dawn Ray, and Kristen M. Jaggers; great nieces and nephews, Madison Steward, Allison Brown, Kathleen Grigsby, Rose Kelley, Brielle Canfield, Tyler Grigsby, Carter Brown, Riley Gridley, and Mason Brown. He was preceded in death by his parents and a nephew, Benjamin R. Ray. Cremation was chosen with a private burial at a later date. A Celebration of Life service will be conducted at 10:30 am on Saturday, July 9th at the 39th Street Christian Church in Bedford with Pastor Mike Hawkins officiating.
