Obituary of Patrick Franklin Ikerd

Bedford – Patrick Franklin Ikerd, 73, of Bedford, died at 3:59 am on Saturday, May 21, 2016 at the Roudebush VA Medical Center in Indianapolis. Born November 27, 1942 in Los Angeles, CA, he was the son of Fredrick N. and Phyllis E. (Gunnerson) Ikerd. He was owner of Ikerd Corvettes for many years and a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Viet Nam War. He was a member of the Elks Lodge and Bedford Lodge #14 F & AM. Survivors include his wife, Judy Ikerd, of Bedford; a brother, Dennis W Ikerd, of San Jose, CA; a sister, Kathryn A. King, of Columbus, IN. Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Friday, May 27th at Cresthaven Memory Gardens. No visitation is planned. The family asks that friends consider memorial contributions be made to the Wounded Warrior Project. Arrangements are under the direction of the Day & Carter Mortuary.
