Obituary of Mary Magdalene Oliver

Oolitic – Mary Magdalene (Brafford) Oliver, 90, of Oolitic, died at 5:10 pm on Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at Stonebridge Health Campus. Born July 16, 1925, she was the daughter of William and Etta (Blake) Brafford. She married Olin V. Oliver on July 22, 1943 and he preceded her in death on October 31, 2007. She was a graduate of the Oolitic High School and was a beautician. She was of the Christian faith and enjoyed collecting dolls. Survivors include two sons, Jim Oliver and wife, Kathy, of Mt. Dora, FL, Dennis Oliver and wife, Beverly, of Bedford; three grandsons, Scott Oliver and wife, Carol, of Corydon, Todd Oliver and wife, Kelly of Panama City, FL, Thomas Lane and wife, April, of Bedford; one granddaughter, Andrea Rigsby and husband, Brandon, of Channahon, IL; eight great grandchildren, Ashley, Abby, Zane and Tyler Oliver, Cameron and Clairann Lane and Brynna and Ryker Rigsby; one step great grandson, Alex Reed a brother, Ward Brafford and wife, Freida, of Bloomington; a sister, Donna Terry of Robinson, TX; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a grandson, Brian Lane and a brother, Delmar Brafford. Funeral services will be conducted at 4:00 pm on Saturday, March 12th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor Phil Thorne officiating. Burial will follow in Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 2:00 pm until the hour of service on Saturday, March 12th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
