Obituary of April Dawn (Davis) Watson

Bedford – April Dawn Davis Watson, 49, of Bedford, died Sunday, March 6, 2016. Born May 10, 1966 in Bedford, she was the daughter of Claude E. Davis and Sarah L. (Roach) Surface. She was employed at Subway in Mitchell. Survivors include her father, Claude Davis and wife, Debbie, of Bedford; her mother, Sarah Surface, of Houston, TX; two sons, Nathan Watson, of Evansville and David Watson, III, of Bedford; a daughter, Summer Watson, of Bedford; their father, David Watson, Jr., of Solsberry, IN; two grandchildren, Soyer and Spensor Payton; siblings, Claude Davis, Jr., of Oolitic, Moneva “Bonnie” Rainey, of Bedford, Tony Russell, of Heltonville and Gene Russell, of Mitchell; several aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, William A. and Moneva (Hillenburg) Davis, Norman and Ida Lou (Campbell) Roach; her step-father, Ronald Surface. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Thursday, March 10th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Millard Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Dive Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, March 9th and from 10:00 am until the hour of service on Thursday, March 10th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
