Obituary of Donald Neal McCoy

Bedford –Donald Neal McCoy, 84, of Bedford, died at 8:10 pm on Friday, January 15, 2016 at his residence. Born August 30, 1931 in Bedford, he was the son of Ralph Waldo McCoy and Helen Ann (Howell) Sheeks. He married Patricia Maria Tomaso and she survives. He retired as the plant manager at U.S. Gypsum in Shoals. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army where he served as an MP and a member of the Gillen Post #33 American Legion. Survivors include his wife, Patricia, of Bedford; children, Michael McCoy, Pamela McCoy and Robin McCoy Beaver; grandchildren, Sunni Neal Ystrom, Kyle McCoy Beaver, and Haley Beaver; great grandchildren, Matthias Ystrom and Liam Ystrom. Private services were conducted at 2:30 pm on Monday, January 18, 2016. Burial followed in Green Hill Cemetery where military rites were accorded by members of Gillen Post #33 American Legion.
