Obituary of David A. Keller

Bedford-David A. Keller, 78, of 1527 12th Street, passed away at 4:15 P.M. Saturday, August 6th at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, IN. Born on December 4, 1926, he was the son of Arthur Keller and Gladys (Crockett) Keller. He was a retired truck driver, former owner of the Chuckwagon Steakhouse in Bedford and worked for Area 10 on Aging Rural Transit. A Veteran of the U.S. Navy serving in W.W. II he was a past member of the American Legion Gillen Post #33 and of Christian Faith. He married Alice Lively on June 18, 1949 and she survives. Surviving with his wife, Alice of Bedford are five daughters: Patty Dzmura and her husband, Michael of Granbury, TX, Connie Justus and her husband, David of Mesa, AZ, Ann Flinn of Bloomington, IN, Mary Todd and her husband, Dan of Heltonville, IN, Janet White and her husband, Mark of Holly Lake, TX; six grandchildren: Amy Landavaso of Gilbert, AZ, Ann Simmons of Mesa, AZ, Eric Flinn of Bedford, IN, Andy Flinn of Jackson, MO, Jill Moser of Grand Prairie, TX and Abby Godsey of Williams, IN; nine great grandchildren; one sister: Marian Deckard of Bedford, IN; one brother in law: Ed Boshears of Bedford, IN and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter: Denise Keller in infancy; two sisters: Virginia Clark and Margie Boshears. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, August 9th from the Elmwood Chapel of Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor Harold Godsey officiating. Burial will follow in the Green Hill Cemetery with pallbearers being: Eric Flinn, Andy Flinn, Danny Todd, Josiah Godsey, Dwight Smith and Dean Smith.. Friends may call on Monday, August 8th from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Day & Carter Mortuary. Military rites will be accorded at the grave by the American Legion Gillen Post #33.
