Wilma and Rod, we are so sorry for your loss of Charlie. He was a super nice person as was your mom. What a blessing for me when Ester came to work for me at Otis and my little family had the opportunity to be introduced to Charlie. On visits to the ranch, they treated us like family as I know they did everyone. Words are hard to come by to explain the kindness they showed everyone. We are blessed to have known them both. We were sorry we could not attend the funeral service as we were out of town. Our prayers go out to your family.

Mike and Sissy, I was so sorry to hear of the passing of Charlie. I know you'll miss him dearly. Oh, how I loved that man when I was a teenager. He was a real cowboy in my eyes, right up there with Roy Rogers. LOL! I'll never forget the first time he introduced me to Babe. He told me I'd never be able to ride her. LOL Babe and I became inseparable after that, until life got in the way. Hugs to both of you. May God bless you both and wrap His loving arms around you both to ease your grieving hearts. We have such great memories of the Bar P horse shows, camps, and just hanging out with Charlie and Esther over coffee.... their generosity, stories, and smiles will be missed, but comforting to know they are together again..... sending our most heartfelt condolences to Mike and the rest of the family.

All my thoughts and prayers to Charlie's family, friends and all the 4Hers who's lives he touched! Our horse and pony community has lost a major role model. I met Charlie and Esther in 1989 and am so thankful that they and the Bar P played such a big role in my life in the years that followed! Not only did they impact my life but their horses and bloodlines did as well. I was fortunate enough to own Tyree Joes Belinda for 23 years! She was my equine soul mate. As I get ready to head to the barn this morning to feed I remind myself that the three waiting on me are all HER babies. Lol to say that Charlie and Esther and the Bar P played a role in my life is an understatement! Their impact helped some of my childhood dreams come true and for that I will forever be thankful!! You will be missed Charlie! Thank you for all you have done! Give Old Belinda a pat for me, and tell Esther hello!

Charlie and Esther were like bacon and eggs in that we referred to each with the other's name connected by "and". We pray that they've been reunited by God's grace. They have given so much to so many. Can visualize Charlie sitting on the porch, just a swinging. Such a gentle man.
