Obituary of Roy D. Lintz

Orleans – Roy D. Lintz, 80, of Orleans, formerly of Bedford, died at 8:25 am on Wednesday, July 08, 2015 at his residence. Born December 29, 1934 in Vigo Co., IN, the son of Charles and Ada (Johnson) Lintz. He married Wanda Ellen Pierce on December 19, 1954 and she survives. He retired as a supervisor at Stone City Products after forty-six years. He attended the Woodville Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Wanda, of Orleans; two sons, Roy K. Lintz and wife Rossy, of Flemington, GA and Steve J. Lintz and wife Yvonne Carol, of Columbus, two daughters, Norma E. Bailey and husband Tom, of Mitchell and Betty Ann Miller and husband Chuck, of Bedford; four brothers, Joe Lintz and wife Barb, of Pendleton, Bob Lintz and wife Diane of Orleans, Jim Lintz of Pendleton, and Donald Lintz and wife Joyce, of Bloomfield; two sisters, Betty Wilson, of Pendleton, and Linda Sullivan and husband Wayne, of Avoca; 11 grandchildren: Jennifer Elrod and husband Chad, Byron Lintz and wife Alissa, Jeremy Tolliver, Mandy Skeen-Colvin, Randy Skeen, Jr., Chad Lintz, Cody Lintz and wife Kayla, Stephanie Lake and husband Stephen, Erik Lintz, Matt Lintz, and Stevie Lintz; eight step grandchildren: Brock Bailey, Andrea Tolliver and husband Bryan, Javier Lintz, Pearl Burch and husband Rich, Wes Miller, Kerrie Earl, Lisa Davis, and Kayla Pruett; 28 great-grandchildren; one aunt: Norma Jean of Illinois He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Erma Lintz, two brothers: Norman and Larry Lintz, a grandson Mark Skeen. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Tuesday, July 14th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Rev. Richard Tallman officiating. Burial will follow in Fayetteville Community Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00pm on Monday, July 13th, and from 10:00 am until the hour of service Tuesday at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
