Obituary of Anthony Jordan

Bedford Anthony (A.J.) Jordan, 72, went to Heaven at 10:05 pm on Tuesday, August 11, 2009 at the White River Lodge in Bedford. Born October 2, 1936 in Kentucky, he was the son of Dewey and Essie (Gambrel) Jordan. He was a laborer in steel mills in northern Indiana. He married Beverly Martin on December 14, 1986 and she survives. He attended the Friendly Bible Church in Bedford. Surviving with his wife, Beverly of Bedford are his children, Ana Stevens and husband, Jerry E. of Bedford, Dewey W. Jordan and wife, Pam of Springville, Emily Jordan of Bedford, Victor Jordan and wife, Sandra of Rossville, GA, Betty Brown and husband, James of Mitchell, Juanita Jordan of Lake Station, IN; three step-children, Wendy Gaboian and husband, John, Scotty Wirick and fiance Patricia, Danny Wirick and wife, Cindy; fourteen grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; six step grandchildren; five step great-grandchildren; eleven brothers and sisters. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers (in infancy), a granddaughter, Christina Jordan; a niece, Angie Elkins and his father-in-law, Gathis Martin. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Saturday, August 15th from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Greg Eads officiating. Burial will follow in the Chapel Hill Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, August 14th and from 10:00 am until the hour of service on Saturday, August 15th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
