Obituary of Orville H. Coulter

Bedford – Orville H. “Buck” Coulter, 81, of Bedford, died at 1:25 am on Sunday, May 10, 2015 at I.U. Health Bedford. Born February 10, 1934 in Bedford, he was the son of Thomas and Grace (Clendenon) Coulter. He married Hallie Conley on November 22, 1958 and she survives. He was the owner of Coulter’s Produce and earlier, worked for Lowden Produce. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of the Cecil Martin Post American Legion in Mitchell. He was an avid coon hunter and member of the Leesville Coon Hunter’s Assoc. He raised English Redtick coon dogs and loved horses. Survivors include his wife, Hallie, of Bedford; three daughters, Kimberly Coulter, Tamara Coulter and significant other, Travis Kern, Melissa Coulter Sampson and significant other, Nathaniel Newlin all of Bedford; two granddaughters, Cortney (Jones) Colson and husband, Derrek, of Greensburg and Kelsey Sampson of Amarillo, TX; three great grandchildren, Chlois York, Nathaniel Colson and Aiden Colson all of Greensburg; two sisters, Vicky Cooper and husband, Barry, Bonita Isom and husband, Tracy, all of Bedford; life-long friend, Gary Goldsby of Bedford; his dog, Lilly. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Jerry Coulter; a sister, Carol Kinser; a son, Carl Luther Coulter; a grandson, Seth David Jones and a great granddaughter, Taylor Colson. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, May 13th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary. Burial will follow in Crawford Cemetery where military rites will be accorded at the graveside. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, May 12th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
