I was fortunate enough to see you the last time I was in Indiana, when my mother and I drove down from Anderson and had dinner with you and Larue and the rest of the family at Spring Mill State Park. You were quite ill, but still in good spirits. A few years before, I drove down to visit your parents with my grandmother, Thelma. They were all still alive then, and now they are all gone. My grandmother and your mother got along like old friends, even though they had never actually met before!
Rest in Peace, Jim. And my condolences to your family and loved ones.
