I know it's been almost 32 years actually it was 1983 when we moved away from the only friends that I had but from 1976 to 1983 are some of the best days of my life due to the DeGrasses . Weather we were playing football in the lot or swimming at Wilson pond , knocking down beaver dames all the sports at Huron school and all the fishing and saining minnos and making floats for the momorial day paraide finding a turtle at the last minute for the race .. But anyway none of thoes things would have been possible if it wasn't for one wonderful woman thank you Karen DeGrasse for a wonderful childhood! I'll never forget u..

I have so many fun memories of growing up with Karen and Donna. I am Jan (Craig)Lewis and Roy Craig was my uncle. How many times did I spend the night at their house in Mitchell on the farm, jump from the hayloft down to the hay..giggle and act silly..make homemade ice cream with the hand cranked mixer none of us could hardly bear the waiting until it was done and it was made with good old cow's milk and cream blended together,go to church, sing together-we made up our own song one time...I'm dont think kids today have as much fun as we did. They had an organ that we had to pump the pedals to play. As we grew up, Karen was the first to get married we moved and lost touch but my memories will always be as long as I have life. She was a sweet gentle lady with the most precious smile, a loving heart. She had many heartaches in her life but she didn't grow bitter over them, she became BETTER. God please bless the family of my cousin Karen and comfort them all as they give her back to you.

Karen DeGrasse was a kind, sweet, soft-spoken lady & this world lost a very special person when Karen left it.
Karen was, not only my first cousin, but my good friend also. Karen, her younger sister Donna, my younger sister Jan & I had some good times when we were kids in Indiana & later teenagers in Pinellas Park Florida. We didn't have cell phones, computers or tv to keep us entertained like kids do today but that didn't matter because we had each other. I will always treasure those past memories of my cousins & sister & the happy times we all shared whether it was sitting around the bonfire singing Rocking Robin or Purple People Eater or hanging out with their big brother Charles at the Million Dollar Pier.
My prayers and thoughts are with all of you. May God comfort you in your sorrow.

Brady & Family,
Sorry to hear about the loss of your mother. Being from Mitchell I know all that knew her thought the world of her. She was a good lady. A lot of people like to be sad and say they're sorry but I prefer to say congratulations. Congratulations on the woman that she was. I know you will celebrate her during this time. God bless you and all the family.
