Obituary of William E. Henry

Williams – William E. Henry, Jr., 84, of Williams, died at 10:38 pm on Saturday, February 14, 2015 at I.U. Health Bedford Hospital. Born April 18, 1930 in Montgomery, IN, he was the son of William Elmer and Ulla Etness (Ackers) Henry. He retired as a mechanic from General Motors in Bedford and a veteran of the Korean War serving with the U.S. Army in the Artillery Corps. He was a member of the Eagles Lodge, the Moose Lodge and the Bedford Boat and Sportsman’s Club in Bedford and the American Legion Post and V.F.W. Post of Mitchell. Survivors include three daughters, Tina Reynolds and husband, Randy, of Mitchell, Julie Magill and husband, Tim, of Bedford and Tracey Hearth and husband, J.D., of Bedford; six grandchildren, Christy Adviento and husband, Antonio, Patrick Ritchison and companion, Sheila Kellams, Andrew George, Ryan Kirkman, Kaelyn Baldwin, Whitney Melton and husband, Jarrod. Seven great grandchildren; his siblings, Jeanette Webb, Dorothy Dean, Sandy Horton, Shirley Patton, David Henry and Lois Henry. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Jenny Wise, Joe and Don Henry. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, February 18th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary. Burial will follow in Cresthaven Memory Gardens where military rites will be accorded at the graveside. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, February 17th and from 11:00 am until the hour of service on Wednesday, February 18th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
