Back in high school when Darlene was a cheerleader (this photo...sorry upside down)... shows the Centerville Bulldog cheerleaders in 1969...with the Victory Bell. We pulled this out on the gym floor & rang this at home games after a victory! When I think of Dar, I think she is ringing the bell in Heaven! Victory in Jesus...her Lord and Savior! ( Also shown in photo: Becky Byrd, Jane Harris & me) I will miss you, dear friend! 'till we meet again. Much love, Crisann

Darlene, our hearts ache for the loss of you and our eyes will moisten from time to time. You fought the good fight throughout your life, and have been rewarded with a "well done, good and faithful servant". We all take comfort knowing that as you labored to exhale your last breath on Earth, you followed that by taking in your first sweet breath in the presence of The Lord. Rest well beautiful lady, loving mother, and example to us all. We love you, and in the hope of Christ will one day join you in Glory.

Boys. Especially my friends Chad & Chris I am so very sorry to hear of the loss of your beautiful mother. Like a previous post she would light up the store where I worked years ago when she came in to see us. She always had a beautiful smile and a great attitude. Kids, I am so sorry to hear of Dars passing. She was very unique and I never knew her not to have a bright smile and cheery hello for everyone. When she would come to the office the whole place lit up!. I remember seeing a photo of her and your dad when they were dating. She was in a mini skirt and tall boots...what a beauty....I know you will miss her but it is nice to think that she and Jim are reunited and their love story continues. We send our deepest sympathy to Dar's family. Dar was always a sweet and caring person. She was fun and a pleasure to be around. John has many fond memories from knowing Dar during childhood as classmate at Centerville schools. While this is a sad time, Dar is at peace, with no more pain, and is reunited with Jim. God bless. Darlene has been a wonderful wife, mother, friend and sister-in-law. Dar fought a very hard fight over the last several years with the loving support of her family along the way. I know she is in a better place now. God bless and rest in peace.
