Obituary of Helen J. Hatfield

Bedford Helen J. Hatfield, 81, of 1109 14th Street, Bedford, died at 8:17 am on Thursday, December 8, 2005 at the Dunn Memorial Hospital. Born October 16, 1924 in Lawrence Co., she was the daughter of William and Roxie (Williams) Hatfield. She retired as a secretary at NLCS and was a member of the Old Union Christian Church. Survivors include one brother, Jake Hatfield and his wife, Frannie of Bedford; one brother-in-law, Farrell Hayes of Springville; three nieces, Carol Bush and her husband, Danny and Sally Hutton and her husband, Rick all of Springville, Susie Hayes and her husband, Craig Striepe of Florida; two nephews, John Hayes and his wife, Delilah of Springville and Ed Hayes of Bedford; two great nieces; eight great nephews; three great great nieces; one great great nephew. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Elizabeth Hayes. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Sunday, December 11th from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Bro. Josh Brumfield officiating. Burial will follow in Williams Church of Christ Cemetery. Friends may call from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Saturday, December 10th and from 11:00 am until the hour of service on Sunday, December 11th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
