Obituary of Edwin Hartman

Carroll, OH Edwin (Jim) Hartman, 71, of Carroll, OH, died at 9:12 am on Saturday, December 1, 2007 at The Pickering House in Lancaster, OH. Born June 12, 1936 in Abilene, KS, he was the son of James and Helen Rose (McClain) Hartman. He married Alice M. Hicks in 1968 and she survives. He was a lot scanner for the Ohio Auto Auction in Grove City, OH. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Survivors include his wife, Alice of Carroll, OH; two sons, Tim and Jim McDonald both of Bedford; five daughters, Teresa Harris of Springville, IN, Mary Thomas of Heltonville, IN, Lisa Hayes of Arlington, TX, Tammy Max of Lancaster, OH and April Smith of Ft. Worth, TX; twenty-seven grandchildren; several great grandchildren; one brother, Charles Hartman of Arkansas; three sisters, Sandy Doyle of Pendleton, IN, Carol Hibbs of Crawford, GA and Linda Jett of Waldren, AR; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 pm on Thursday, December 6th at Crossroads Community Church with Pastor Ken Ransom officiating. Burial will follow in Dive Christian Cemetery. Friends may call from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, December 5th at the Day & Carter Mortuary and from 11:00 am until the hour of service on Thursday, December 6th at the church.
