Obituary of William L. Harper

Bloomington William L. Harper, 58, of 303 North Pete Ellis Drive, Bloomington, IN, died at 7:54 am on Monday, December 15, 2003 at Bloomington Hospital. Born May 9, 1945 in Bedford, he was the son of Atner and Maudelene (Clendenon) Harper. He married Judy Zimmerman and she survives. He was a retired truck driver and diesel mechanic. Surviving with his wife, Judy of Bedford are his children, Shelia and Jim Groh of Ellettsville, Patty and Kevin Kenney of Bedford, Rita and Victor Reynolds of Oolitic, Howard Harper of Bedford, Susen and Vane Chastain of Bedford, Billy and Lisa Harper of Mitchell; fourteen grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Phyllis Ayres of Bloomington, Evelen Lanning of New Albany and Helen Hayes of Maryland; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Sonny Harper and three half-brothers, Howard, Chester and Joe Carter. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Friday, December 19th from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary. Entombment will follow in Cresthaven Mausoleum. Friends may call from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, December 18th and from 12:00 noon until the hour of service on Friday at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
