I saw my Aunt as elegant and exotic. She was an inspiration for my independence as I grew up. I loved her sense of adventure, and I loved the tales she told - especially the one where she got married on a flag pole in Hawaii.
I remember her singing "Wooden Heart" her favorite song. She made holidays fun and memorable.
She would sing "Christmas upstairs and Christmas down" - she always made us kids feel loved and special - especially during the holidays.
I have missed her for many moons and always remember her speaking of her spirit guide named Pierre who she said smelled like coffee.
She will be missed as she touched many many lives.
