Obituary of Ruby Ashcraft

Seymour Ruby Ashcraft, 92, of Seymour, formerly of Bedford, died at 8:40 am on Tuesday, March 30, 2010 at the Covered Bridge Health Campus in Seymour. Born November 3, 1917 in Greene Co., she was the daughter of Clyde and Bertha (Achors) Bennett. She married Ray Ashcraft on July 2, 1934 and he died January 16, 2005. She retired from Sarkes-Tarzian Inc. in Bloomington and attended the First Baptist Church in Seymour. Survivors include a daughter, Sue Etta Eisenmenger; seven grandchildren; several great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Jean Summerville and husband, Merle, Donna Hassler and husband, John. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son, J. Dean Ashcraft; a daughter, Janet Kaye Davis and a grandson, Martin Luther Davis. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Saturday, April 3rd in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Rev. Homer Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Friends may call from 9:00 am until the hour of service on Saturday, April 3rd at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
