Obituary of Patricia K. Hamilton
Bedford-Patricia K. (Pat) Hamilton, 60, of 678 Leesville Road, Bedford passed away at 11:42 A.M. Thursday, May 13th at Westview Manor Nursing Home in Bedford.
Born on July 2, 1943 in Bedford, IN she was the daughter of Delmar L. Sowders and Ola Kathleen (Morrow) Sowders. She married Jack L. Hamilton on August 12, 1961 and he survives.
She was an ordained minister and gospel recording artist. Pat and her husband Jack were known for their television ministry where in 1991 they founded Tools of the Carpenter. She was an owner of the Waffle House and had worked at Ford. She was a member of Meadows Community Church.
Surviving with her husband is one son: Jeffrey L. Hamilton of Bedford; one grandson; Kyle Hamilton of Bedford; four brothers; Larry D. Sowders and his wife, Shirley of Columbus, IN; Stephen Sowders and his wife, Mary of Leesville; Bradley Sowders and his wife, Glenda of Leesville and Scott Sowders and his wife, Judith of Bedford; one sister; Rheadawn Inman of West Palm Beach, FL; a mother-in-law; Edith Hamilton of Salem; two brother-in-laws; Gary W. Hamilton and his wife, Carla of Bedford and Jerry R. Hamilton and his wife, Sue of Salem, IN; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister; Norma Bridwell; father-in-law Herschel Hamilton; brother-in-law James Hamilton and sister-in-law Christina Corn. Funeral Information
Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, May 15th at 1:00 PM in the Elmwood Chapel of Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastors Richard Chase, Eugene Strunk and Becky Ryan officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery.
Friends may call at Day & Carter Mortuary on Friday, May 14th from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Saturday from 10:00 AM until the hour of the service.
