Obituary of Ray Ashcraft

Seymour Ray Ashcraft, 89, 440 Parkland, Seymour, IN, died on Sunday, January 16, 2005. Born February 22, 1915 in Martin County, he married Ruby Bennett on July 2, 1934 and she survives. He retired from Central Foundry Division of GM in Bedford and was a veteran of WW II serving with the U.S. Army. He was a member of U.A.W. Local #440 in Bedford and V.F.W. in Seymour. He attended the First Baptist Church in Seymour. Survivors include his wife, Ruby of Seymour; one daughter, Sue Eisenmenger of Seymour; seven grandchildren and several great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, J. Dean Ashcraft; one daughter, Janet Kaye Davis and a grandson, Martin Luther Davis. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, January 19th from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Rev. Bruce Cochran officiating. Burial will follow in Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Friends may call from 11:00 am until the hour of service on Wednesday at the Day & Carter.
