Obituary of Jimmie W. Jones

Bedford Jimmie W. Jones, Jr., 25, of 2118 Old Farm Road, Bedford, died at 5:16 am on Friday, October 24, 2003 in Bloomington from injuries sustained in an auto accident. Born October 10, 1978 in Lawrence County, he was the son of Jimmie W. and Judy (Crum) Jones. He was employed as a waiter at the Red Lobster Restaurant in Bloomington. He was of the Pentecostal faith. Survivors include his father, Jimmie W. of Bedford; three sisters, Mary Staggs and Peggy Stines both of Bedford and Valerie Powers of Alexanderia, IN; maternal grandmother, Peggy Crum of Bedford; Aunt, Cheryl Crum of Bedford with whom he lived; Uncles and Aunts, Tommy and Suzie Jones of Bedford; Lonnie and Barbara Jones of Bedford; Eddie Jones of Springville; Ricky and Mona Jones of Springville; several nieces and nephews; and his friend, Ralph McGlothlin of Harrodsburg. He was preceded in death by his mother, Judy; two grandfathers, Walter Crum and Oscar Jones and one grandmother, Helen Jones. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Monday, October 27th from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Bro. Wendell Phillips and Pastor Bill Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Clover Hill Cemetery. Friends may call from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Saturday, October 25th ; from 10:00 am until 8:00 pm on Sunday, October 26th and from 10:00 am until the hour of service on Monday, October 27th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
