Obituary of Celia Hackney

Bedford Celia Hackney, 82, of 818 Lincoln Ave., Bedford, died at 11:00 pm on Sunday, July 3, 2011 at I.U. Health Bedford Hospital. Born August 23, 1928 in Lawrence Co., she was the daughter of Lloyd and Lucile (Turner) Franklin. She married Ted James Hackney on August 29, 1954 and he died April 13, 1999. She was a homemaker and a member of the Avoca Baptist Church. Survivors include two grandchildren, Sheila Hubbard and husband, John of Bedford and Russell Pridemore of Atlanta, GA; three great granddaughters, Jeanelle and Danielle Pridemore and Jessica Hubbard. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a daughter, Rebecca Nelson; a sister, Betty Chambers and a great grandson, Gary Hubbard. Funeral Information Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Friday, July 8th at Lowder Cemetery with Bro. Perry East officiating. Burial will follow. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until 12:00 noon on Friday, July 8th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
