Obituary of Geneva A. Grubb

Bedford Geneva A. Grubb, 72, of 78 Lincoln Ave., Bedford, died at 12:45 pm on Sunday, February 24, 2008 at the Bloomington Hospital. Born November 29, 1935 in Orange Co., she was the daughter of Grant E. and Virginia E. (Blackburn) Love. She married Homer Grubb on October 22, 1959 and he survives. She was a homemaker and a member of the Hillcrest Christian Church in Bedford. Survivors include her husband of forty-eight years, Homer, of Bedford; one daughter, Gina Roth and her husband, Eric, of Seymour; one son, Jim Grubb and his wife, Jan, of Bedford; four grandchildren, Jeffrey Grubb and his wife, Beth, Josh Grubb, Alex Jewell and Brianna Jewell; one step-grandson, Jakob Roth of New York; three great grandchildren, Kaylee, Emma and Kane Grubb; one sister, Mable Umphress of Bedford; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Charles Love and one sister, Mary Frances Henley. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Thursday, February 28th from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor Charlie Scott and Pastor Pete Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in the Green Hill Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, February 27th and from 12:00 noon until the hour of service on Thursday, February 28th at the Day & Carter Mortuary. At the request of Geneva, the casket will remain closed.
