Obituary of Jordan Dean Groves

Bedford Jordan Dean Groves, 20, of Bedford, was called home to the Lord on Sunday, May 11, 2008. Our beloved son, brother, uncle and best friend was born on April 25, 1988 to Bobby and Diane (Parks) Groves. He was a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church where he had also attended school. He was a 2007 graduate of the Bedford North Lawrence High School. He had attended Vincennes University and was employed at Sherwin-Williams Paint Store. Surviving with his parents are a brother, Jeff Buffington and his wife, Melissa of Bedford; a sister, Kristie Tanner and her husband, Daniel of Bedford; a nephew, Kramer Buffington of Mitchell; nieces, Kendyl and Madalyn Buffington of Bedford and his maternal grandmother, Alta Cox of French Lick. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Dennis Parks of French Lick and his paternal grandparents, Maggie Roper and Phil Groves of Kokomo. Jordan loved playing sports, especially basketball in the summer, soccer in the fall and snowboarding in the winter. Jordan was a loving and caring person to all his family and friends and will leave a void that will never be filled. Our family takes comfort knowing that Jordan was confirmed in the Catholic Church and his faith will carry him into the arms of Our Father in Heaven. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Thursday, May 15th at the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church with Father Rick Eldred officiating.
