Obituary of Larry Dean Grogan

Mitchell, Larry Dean Grogan, 61, of 1542 Old Highway 60 West in Mitchell, died at 2:28 am on Saturday, May 7th, at the VA Hospital in Indianapolis. Born on October 26, 1943 in Lawrence County, he was the son of Joseph Edward and Dora Ruth (Hilton) Grogan. He was a disabled Vietnam veteran where he served in the U.S. Air Force. He was very patriotic, loved his country and was proud to have served his country. Surviving are two sisters: Phyllis Byers and Reva Underwood and her husband Donald all of Bedford; one brother: James Grogan and his wife Brenda Kay of Michigan City; several nieces & nephews which he was very close to. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 pm on Tuesday, May 10th from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pat Blyeth officiating. Burial will follow in Beech Grove Cemetery with military rites accorded at the grave by the American Legion Gillen Post 33. Friends may call from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Monday, May 9th, and also from 1:00 pm until the hour of service on Tuesday, May 10th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
