Obituary of Madge M. Jones

Bedford Madge M. Jones, 74, of Bedford, died at 1:25 pm on Saturday, September 8, 2007 at Stonebridge Health Campus. Born February 6, 1933 in Oolitic, she was the daughter of Albert and Frances (Hicks) Perkins. She married Samuel E. Gene Jones and he survives. She was a long distance operator for AT & T. Madge graduated from the Needmore High School with the class of 1951 and was a member of the Avoca Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, Samuel Gene Jones. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Steven Taylor; two sisters, Jewell Younger and Gayle McIntire and one brother, Wayne Richard Perkins. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 am on Thursday, September 13th from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Rev. Kyle Witmer officiating. Burial will follow in the Green Hill Cemetery. Friends may call from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, September 12th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
