Obituary of Phyllis K. Goodman

Needmore Phyllis K. Goodman, 83, of 1392 Trogden Lane, Needmore, died at 6:30 am on Wednesday, December 17, 2008 at her residence. Born May 10, 1925 in Lawrence Co., she was the daughter of Quincy and Ola (Rowe) Bridwell. She married Charles Goodman, Jr. April 19, 1943 and he preceded her in death on April 6, 1975. She was a homemaker and member of the Gulletts Creek Baptist Church. Phyllis was a wonderful mother, grandmother and a friend to all. She touched many lives and maintained her joyful spirit even during her illness. She will be greatly missed by all her family and friends. Survivors include two sons, Dennis Goodman and his wife, Marilyn of Needmore, David Goodman and his wife, Gracie of Greene Co., IN; two daughters, Shona Turpin and her fiance Curt Wiggins of Bloomington, Diana Anderson and her husband, Carl of Spencer; three sisters, Jean Huff of Ohio, Iris Kirkman of Springville and Donna Goldbach of Pensacola, FL; one brother, Lowell Bridwell of Avoca; nine grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sisters, Rowena Turner and Doris Beasley and one brother, Gary Bridwell. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Saturday, December 20th from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary. Burial will follow in the Green Hill Cemetery.
