Obituary of Paul Wayne Godsey
Springville Paul Wayne Godsey, 61, of 61 Red Hill Addn. Springville, died at 9:20 pm on Monday, January 29, 2007 at the Bloomington Hospital.
Born March 31, 1945 in Lawrence Co., he was the son of Hobert and Edith (Anderson) Godsey. He married LuAnn Gore on May 7, 1982 and she survives. He was retired from Rogers Group where he was a blaster at the Bloomington quarry. He was a member of the Perry Twp. Volunteer Fire Dept. where he served as an EMS 1st Responder. He was a member of the Springville Trinity Pentecostal Mission and a National Guard Veteran. Pauls hobbies included fishing, hunting, camping and spending time with his grandkids.
Survivors include his wife, LuAnn Godsey of Springville; two daughters, Diana Bex and her husband, Aaron and Barbara Godsey all of Bloomington; one son, Craig Godsey and his wife, Autumn of Bedford; five grandchildren, Matthew Feaster, Travis Abrell, Tori Bex, Ashley Powell and Andrea Godsey; one great granddaughter, Larissa Kinser; one sister, Joyce Phillips and her husband, Rev. Wendell Phillips; two brothers, Earl L. Godsey and his wife, Mary, James H. Godsey and his wife, Roseanna all of Springville; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Donald Eugene Godsey and one son, Donnie Wayne Godsey. Funeral Information
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 am on Friday, February 2nd from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Rev. Alan Phillips and Rev. Doug Phillips officiating. Burial will follow the Byers-Rainbolt Cemetery. Friends may call from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, February 1st at the Day & Carter Mortuary. Donations Information
