How i have missed you these last 7 years. I dont think I will ever adjust to you being gone. A lot has happened since you left us. I promised you we would take care of mom. We have kept that promise. Most of her care has fallen on Ruthie because Sharon is very disabled now from her MS and I’m struggling with cancer. There have been many times I needed your big strong arms to just hold me and tell me that things will be okay. I think about you all the time dad and miss you more everyday. You were and always will be my hero. Oh, by the way, I left a candy bar at Cresthaven on your birthday. Had to be chocolate, your favorite. Love ❤️ you daddy until we meet again.

Today is Dad's 86th birthday. Sure wish you were home and healthy but then I stop and think that you have arrived home. It doesn't make the pain of losing you or the fact that I miss so much go away. Until we meet again Dad, I love you. .

Uncle George was my Dad's uncle but watching them you would never know it. They acted as brothers. Before we moved to California,I remember the days when we would go down and visit Uncle George and Aunt Shirley and the girls. So many fond memories. Uncle George and his family kept my ties alive to Indiana. My fondest memory will the last time Daddy and Uncle George were together. Stealing the chocolate cake and later swapping email addresses. Both were in their late 70's. The miles may have separated them but they loved each other as brothers. My heart and prayers are with my Aunt Shirley and my cousins.

I grew up far away from my family in Bedford so my time spent with Uncle George and Aunt Shirley and the girls became legendary to me. When he rescued me from a fall in the lily pond it was big or when he brought snowball to Florida with a honey bee frozen inside, it became a special story about Uncle George. So tall with that big deep laugh, he would swing a little girl up in the air and for a minute she flew. Uncle George was one of my heroes. I loved him and will miss him all the rest of my days. I offer love and condolences to the whole family...especially Aunt Shirley, the twins and Ruthie.
