Obituary of Alma M. Arthur

Bedford Alma M. Arthur, 80, of Bedford, went to be with the Lord, surrounded by her family, at her residence, following an eleven year battle with cancer. Born February 7, 1934 in Gibbs Co., KY, she was the daughter of Cecil and Eva (Colyer) Sasser. She married Kenneth W. Arthur on August 2, 1952 and he survives. She was a receptionist for Maternity Health, Union Hospital in Terre Haute, IN and attended Oolitic Pentecostal Church. Survivors include her husband, Kenneth, of Bedford; a sister, Betty Goodman; a brother, Alben Sasser and wife, Jonna all of Bedford; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Thursday, March 6th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor Marty Speer officiating. Burial will follow in the Hilltop Cemetery in Avoca. Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, March 5th and from 10:00 am until the hour of service on Thursday, March 6th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
