Obituary of Betty J. Arnold

Bedford Betty J. Arnold, 80, of 774 Peerless Road, Bedford, died at 1:45 am on Thursday, July 01, 2010 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. Born February 26, 1930 in Lawrence Co., she was the daughter of Oscar and Ilene (Robinson) Hammond. She married Dale Arnold on April 4, 1947 and he survives. She was retired from RCA in Bloomington and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Survivors include her husband, Dale, of Bedford; a daughter, Susan Arnold of Bloomington; a son, Rick Arnold and wife, Mary Ann of Indianapolis; four grandchildren, Jenny Humerickhouse and husband, Scott, Jeff Arnold, Jason England, Jamie Mais and husband, Simon; two step-grandchildren, Dr. Stephanie Riley and husband, Dan, Don Patton; five great grandchildren, Joshua, Matthew and Lauren Humerickhouse, Abigaile Mais and Clayton Arnold; three step great grandchildren, Olivia Riley, Sierra and Savannah Patton; two brothers, Wayne Hammond of Sebring, Fl and Kent Hammond and wife, Sandra of Bedford; four sisters-in-law, Ruth Arnold of Mitchell, Doris Pierce, Juanita Callahan, Lucille Swigler and husband, Ed all of Bedford; one brother-in-law, John Arnold; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Al Hammond; a sister, Barbara Medlock and a brother-in-law, Frank Arnold. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 pm on Monday, July 5th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Rev. Jim McDowell officiating. Burial will follow in Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 9:00 am until the hour of service on Monday, July 5th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
