Obituary of Loren Arnold
Bedford Loren Dale Arnold, 88, of Bedford, died Friday, October 17, 2014 at I.U. Health Bloomington Hospital.
Born November 22, 1925 in Mitchell, IN, he was the son of Vernon and Eva (Carroll) Arnold. He married Betty Hammond and she preceded him in death. He was a retired self-employed plumber and a veteran of WW II serving as a Gunners Mate Second Class with the U.S. Navy where he received three bronze stars.
Survivors include a son, Ricky Dale Arnold and wife, Mary Ann, of Indianapolis; a daughter, Susan Lynn Arnold of Bedford; grandchildren, Jenny Humerickhouse and husband, Scott, Jeffrey Arnold, Jason England, Jamie Mais and husband, Simon; step-grandchildren, Don Patton and wife, Rachel, Stephanie Riley and husband, Dan; great grandchildren, Joshua, Matthew, Lauren, Clayton, Sierra, Savannah, Olivia, Abigaile, Myles and Georgia; sisters, Lucille Swigler and Doris Pierce both of Bedford; a brother, John Arnold of Bedford. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, a brother, Frank Arnold; a sister, Juanita Callahan and a brother and sister, Norman and Judith Ann Arnold both in infancy. Funeral Information
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, October 21st in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Rev. Jim McDowell officiating. Burial will follow in Cresthaven Memory Gardens with military rites accorded at the graveside by members of Gillen Post #33 American Legion and D.A.V. Chapter 2. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the hour of service on Tuesday, October 21st at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
