Obituary of Jon David Franklin

Oolitic Jon David (J.D.) Franklin, 52, 513 Lafayette Ave., Oolitic, IN, died at 5:36 pm on Thursday, March 17, 2005 at his residence following a five month illness. Born October 28, 1952 in Lawrence County, he was the son of David and June (England) Franklin. He married Carol Sue Childers on December 19, 1969 and she survives. He attended the Hilltop Pentecostal Church. Surviving with his father, David Franklin and wife, Carol, of Oolitic, are two daughters, Tangie Jenkins of Oolitic and Sandy Burnette and her husband, Justin of Avoca; two sisters, Bridget Eads of Bedford and Joy New of Oolitic; two granddaughters, Brittney Jenkins and Macee Burnette. He was preceded in death by his mother and one son, Jim Bob Franklin. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 am on Saturday, March 19th at the Hilltop Pentecostal Church in Avoca with Rev. Bill Johnnson officiating. Burial will follow in Hilltop Cemetery. Friends may call from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, March 18th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
