Obituary of James Flynn
Bloomington James C. Flynn, 81, of 2500 S. Rockport Road, Bloomington, died at 1:33 pm on Monday, August 22, 2011 at his residence.
Born August 9, 1930 in Monroe Co., he was the son of Frank and Beulah (Meadows) Flynn. He married Barbara Price and she preceded him in death in 2007. He was a retired janitorial worker for Indiana University. He loved music, children and was a friend to everyone.
Survivors include daughters, Cheryl Diane Padgett, Jami Flynn and fiance, Jamie Smith; Kimberly Matlock and husband, Theodore, Mary Lou Schmidt, Betty Fuller all of Bloomington; three brothers, Joe Flynn of Pennsylvania, Frank (Sam) Flynn of Tennessee and Dean Flynn of Harrodsburg; six sisters, Wanda Seville, Ethie Bailey, Monagail Richardson, Brenda Elliott, Edith Porter and Mae Austin; fifteen grandchildren including James Jones and wife, Michelle, Tiffany Flynn, Natasha Jones, Daymien Bomgardner, Kailee Flynn, Devyn Flynn Smith, Khyvan Flynn Smith, Breanah Jones and Payton Jones; twenty great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, one son, Lonnie Flynn, one brother, Darrell Flynn and a sister, Faye Franklin. Funeral Information
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Friday, August 26th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Rev. Gerald Flynn officiating. Burial will follow in Clover Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the hour of service on Friday, August 26th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
